Study Sectors

The distribution of sectors and regions is as follows. When some specific sector or technology is mentioned, it is to be devoted special attention to it, and always considering this first scheme is just a first approach to the definition of the project. When nothing said, it is supposed the sector is handled in the region as a whole. The connections among sectors will also be considered:

  • Renewable energies. It is particularly important the connection between biomass and agrofood, or the rural cultures in connection with forestry, both included in the Biotechnology Sector.

    Castilla y León - ADEuropa Foundation.

    Germany – ZAB. Power plant technology, heat pumps, geo-/solar thermal power, fuel cells, network technology, bio-fuels, photovoltaics, energy technology, solar heating, recycling, bio-power, wood-pellet production, wind energy, biomass heating, research for solar energy, environmental and energy fairs, biogas, bio-solid fuels, bio-liquid fuels and natural gas vehicles, geothermics, energy saving construction techniques, and related utilities, initiatives and technology centres.

    Sweden – LSTY. A broader approach to the sector will be made by including both the area of fuel production and energy efficiency.

  • Biotechnology.

    Estonia – IBS.

  • Aeronautical.

    Castilla y León - ADEuropa Foundation. The metal- mechanic and engine sectors could be related to the train and automotive industries in the Transport Sector.

  • Transport.

    Germany – ZAB. Traffic and transport logistics, goods distribution, satellite navigation, optical communications, electronic toll systems, train industry, airfreight perspectives, and gateways to Eastern Europe and Asia.

    West Romania – ADR. Automotive.

  • Information & Telecommunication Technology. ICT and rural areas.

    Estonia – IBS.

    West Romania. Special attention will be paid to the ICT sector related to rural areas, but in a second plan.

    Sweden – LSTY. Information management solutions as potential for industry and society in sparsely populated areas.
